Fees Policy

  1. Vendor Payout Fees(withdrawal)
    1. Vendors are paid through a manual withdrawal from the vendor dashboard when ever they want.  This means that all the multiple transactions that takes place through your webstore is collected and then paid in one single withdrawal payment.
    2. The fee for the withdrawal payment is $0.32.  This is a recovery fee that PayPal charges for this service).
    3. ThrivingLocally reserves the right to adjust this fee if PayPal makes adjustments to their fee schedule.
  2. Listing fees – FREE!
    1. 1.1.  ThrivingLocally does not charge a listing fee.
  3. Shopping cart Payment processing fees – PayPal 3.0% + 30 cents/transaction*
    1. Unfortunately We have no control over this fee.  When you set up your shop you are required to use a ThrivingLocally’s webstore you also are required to use the platform merchant service that is currently this is PayPal.
      Payment processing fees have been determined by the current service provider(s) and are based on the volume of your shop. The fee is assessed on the total amount of the sale, including tax. This payment processing fee is deducted from the transaction amount as the funds become available for deposit.     2. Currency conversion
      1. All fees that are listed on your ThrivingLocally account are in CAD. If you list in a currency other than CAD , your item price will be converted to CAD before the transaction fee is applied. Currency conversion is handled automatically by our payment processing service.
    3. Payment processing fees are deducted from funds available for deposit and are charged in the currency in which you receive your funds.
    4. ThrivingLocally reserves the right to adjust this fee if PayPal makes adjustments to their fee schedule.
  4. Advertising fees – Pay as you go!
    1. ThrivingLocally offers advertising opportunities to increase the visibility of your items and shop. Advertising fees vary by opportunity. Ad fees will be clearly outlined before you commit to purchasing an ad. Advertising fees are due at time of purchase.
  5. Shipping Fees – Paid by the buyer!
    1. Shipping Fees are paid directly by the buyer at time of a successful checkout based on the shipping options ad rates that the vendor sets in their webstore settings.
    2. The webstore collects these shipping fees and transfers them directly to the vendor account at time of purchase.
  6. Web Store Subscription Plan – Monthly and Yearly Plans
    1. To maintain a web store on the ThrivingLocally marketplace you must have an active webstore subscription plan.
    2. There is no minimum requirement for length of term other than the length of term that you signed up for.  Monthly or Yearly.  You can switch between any of  the 3 plans at any time without affecting your vendor account status.  Contact ThrivingLocally to do this.
    3. Refunds of the webstore subscription are not provided for any unused portion of the term if the cancellation takes place before the end of the term you selected.  Your Vendor account will remain active for the remainder of the term that you have cancelled your subscription.  Once that term has expired then your webstore will close.
  7. Alterations to the Fees Policy
    1. ThrivingLocally reserves the right to alter the Fees Policy at any time and to make the use of the online platform subject to new or additional contractual terms. Members will be notified of any alterations or additional terms and these will come into effect as soon as they are accepted. Should you not accept the alterations, ThrivingLocally is entitled to terminate the user relationship.
